The Republic of Suriname has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), toward the cost of the Paramaribo Urban Rehabilitation Program (PURP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for activities related to component I of the project: Urban Interventions
The consulting services (“the Services”) include:
The supervision services, implementation of an appropriate quality control system, cost monitoring and a reporting system during the construction process of restoration works of government owned heritage buildings at Henck Arronstraat 1.
The duration for these Services is Fifteen (15) months.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Culture (MESC) now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and experience as follows:
Professional experience: The Consultancy Firm has demonstrable experience with restoration of wooden heritage buildings in the tropics, especially in Suriname. A detailed profile of firms’ expertise in these types of consultancies should be provided and firms should provide a detailed portfolio with references and credentials of at least three (3) similar works in the last five (5) years. “Similar works” refers to restoration of wooden heritage buildings in the tropics, especially in Suriname.
The Expression of Interest (EOI) should include:
• Letter of interest from the firm;
• Proof of their legal status as a firm;
• Detailed portfolio with pictures, references, credentials of relevant projects/assignments (including date, place, size and cost of the project);
• Company Profile related to the assignment (Company structure, demonstrated experience, skills and expertise).
Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Inter-American Development Bank: Policies for the Selection and Contracting of Consultants financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN-2350-15 and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the policies.
Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub-consultancy to enhance their qualifications. For the purpose of establishing the shortlist, the nationality of a firm is that of the country in which it is legally incorporated or constituted.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method set out in the Consultant Policies.
